Products and Compatibility
What is the difference between a visor sticker and a helmet sticker kit?
A helmet visor sticker is one pre-cut graphic designed for the upper section of a racing helmet visor.
A full helmet sticker kit contains several separate graphics for the front, sides and rear of the helmet. These graphics recreate the complete design shown in the product illustrations.
Are helmet visor stickers universal?
No. Our visor stickers are cut according to the helmet brand or visor shape selected when ordering.
Our main versions include:
- Arai
- OMP/Bell
- Zamp
- Additional helmet models on selected products
OMP and Bell use the same visor sticker shape in our current range.
If you are unsure, contact us with the exact helmet model and a clear photograph of the visor before ordering.
Are full helmet sticker kits made for a specific helmet?
No. Our full helmet sticker kits use a universal and adaptable layout rather than being pre-shaped for one exact helmet shell.
They have been tested on Bell, OMP and Zamp helmets and may also be fitted to other racing or karting helmets.
Depending on the helmet shape, some graphics may require careful repositioning, controlled heating or trimming.
Do helmet sticker kits cover the entire helmet?
No. The kits contain separate decorative graphics rather than one complete printed wrap.
The original helmet colour remains visible between the graphics and forms part of the final design.
Which helmet base colour should I select?
Some kits are available in versions designed for white, black or carbon-fibre helmet bases.
Select the option that most closely matches the original colour or appearance of your helmet. The visible helmet surface forms part of the finished design.
Can the stickers cover scratches or damage?
Our graphics may visually cover minor cosmetic marks, but they must not be used to hide cracks, structural damage or serious visor scratches.
Do not use a damaged helmet or visor. Decorative graphics do not repair or improve its protective performance.
Material and Finish
What material do you use?
Our graphics are printed on premium polymeric vinyl with RapidAir air-release technology.
The printed vinyl is protected by matte or glossy lamination for resistance to water, UV exposure and normal cleaning.
What is RapidAir technology?
RapidAir vinyl contains small air-release channels within the adhesive.
These channels allow trapped air to escape during installation, helping to reduce bubbles and making dry application easier.
The adhesive also permits limited repositioning during the early stages of installation.
Should I choose matte or glossy lamination?
The printed design and vinyl are the same. Only the protective finish changes.
- Glossy: brighter reflections and a polished appearance
- Matte: reduced reflections and a softer appearance
The choice is mainly based on personal preference and the finish of the helmet.
How long do the stickers last?
The polymeric vinyl used for our products has an estimated outdoor durability of up to seven years under suitable conditions.
Actual durability depends on installation quality, exposure, cleaning products, surface condition, chemical contact and how the helmet is stored and used.
Are the stickers waterproof?
The printed and laminated graphics are resistant to water, UV exposure and normal cleaning.
Avoid aggressive solvents, abrasive cleaning, pressure washing and prolonged exposure to fuel or harsh chemicals.
Installation
Should visor stickers be installed dry or wet?
Dry installation is recommended.
RapidAir vinyl is designed to allow air to escape during dry application. Wet installation is possible but unnecessary and can delay the adhesive bond.
Read the complete helmet visor sticker installation guide.
Do visor stickers require transfer tape?
No. Visor stickers are supplied as one pre-cut piece and do not require transfer tape.
Do full helmet sticker kits require transfer tape?
Transfer tape is supplied when required for detailed lettering or logos that must remain correctly aligned.
Most larger graphics are applied directly without transfer tape.
Do full helmet sticker kits require professional installation?
Professional installation is not essential, but patience and basic manual skills are required.
You will need to position several graphics, form the vinyl around curves using controlled heat and occasionally trim excess material with a new precision knife blade.
Read the complete helmet sticker kit installation guide.
Can the stickers be repositioned?
RapidAir vinyl normally allows limited repositioning during the early stages of installation.
Lift the vinyl slowly and carefully. Repeated removal, excessive pulling or stretching can damage or distort the graphic.
Can the stickers be removed later?
Yes. Gently warming the vinyl with a hair dryer normally makes removal easier.
Some adhesive residue may remain after prolonged use.
On helmet shells, residue can usually be removed carefully with isopropyl alcohol or a suitable surface cleaner. Do not use aggressive solvents on a visor. Follow the helmet or visor manufacturer’s cleaning instructions.
What happens if I damage the sticker during installation?
Damage caused by incorrect preparation, overheating, excessive stretching, unsuitable cleaning products, trimming errors or failure to follow the instructions is not considered a manufacturing defect.
Contact us with photographs if you are unsure whether the problem is related to installation or the product itself.

Custom Designs
Can you create a custom helmet design?
Custom graphics may be possible depending on the design, dimensions and technical complexity.
Contact us with:
- The exact helmet model
- Clear photographs from several angles
- The desired colours and design
- Any names, numbers or logos to include
- Examples or references showing the desired style
How much does a custom design cost?
The price depends on the complexity of the project, the amount of design work required and the number of graphics to be produced.
We will confirm the price before beginning paid custom-design work.
Will I receive a design preview?
A design preview is provided when it is included in the custom project.
We normally prepare one initial design proposal based on the information supplied. You can then request reasonable modifications before approving the final version.
We do not normally create several completely different designs solely so that the customer can choose between them.
What should I check before approving a preview?
Check all:
- Names and spelling
- Race numbers
- Flags and logos
- Colours
- Dimensions
- General layout
Approval authorises us to begin production. Changes requested after approval may require additional design or reproduction charges.
Can you reproduce any logo or design?
The customer must have the necessary permission to use files, logos, trademarks or other material supplied for a custom order.
We may refuse a request if there is a reasonable concern about legality, safety or third-party rights.
Production and Orders
Are the products made to order?
Yes. Racing Helmet Art products are designed, printed, laminated and prepared to order in France.
How long does production take?
Most standard orders are currently prepared within approximately three business days.
Personalised and custom orders may take longer, especially when additional information or design approval is required.
The current preparation time displayed on the website applies before carrier transit time.
Can I modify or cancel my order?
Contact us as soon as possible.
Standard orders may usually be modified or cancelled before dispatch, although changes cannot be guaranteed after production has started.
Personalised or custom orders cannot normally be cancelled once design work or production has begun.
I entered the wrong name, flag or option. Can it be changed?
Contact us immediately.
If production has not started, we may be able to correct the information.
A personalised product produced correctly according to information submitted or approved by the customer is not considered defective because that information was incorrect.
Payment and Taxes
Which payment methods do you accept?
Available payment methods are displayed during checkout and may vary according to the customer’s country and device.
Payments are processed securely through Shopify Payments or another payment service offered during checkout.
Why is VAT or tax added at checkout?
Applicable VAT or taxes depend on the delivery destination, customer location and current tax rules.
The final amount collected by Racing Helmet Art is displayed before payment.
Will I have to pay customs duties?
Orders delivered outside the European Union may be subject to import VAT, customs duties, brokerage fees or other local charges.
Where these charges are not collected during checkout, they may be requested separately by customs authorities or the delivery company.
Shipping and Tracking
Do you ship internationally?
We ship to many destinations in France, Europe and internationally.
Available delivery methods and prices are displayed during checkout according to the destination.
How can I track my order?
If the selected delivery method includes tracking, a tracking link or number will be sent by email after dispatch.
Check the order confirmation and shipping confirmation emails, including the spam folder.
Why has my tracking not been updated?
Tracking may take one or more business days to show the first carrier scan.
Updates can also become less frequent while an international parcel travels between countries or waits for customs processing.
A temporary lack of updates does not necessarily mean that the parcel is lost.
What should I do if my parcel is late?
First check the tracking link, delivery address, carrier messages, household members, neighbours and nearby collection points.
If the parcel remains delayed, contact us with the order number. We will review the tracking and open a carrier enquiry when appropriate.
What happens if my parcel is lost?
If a parcel sent using a delivery service arranged by Racing Helmet Art is confirmed lost, we will provide an appropriate solution such as replacement, reproduction or refund.
What if tracking says delivered but I did not receive the parcel?
Check all entrances, letterboxes, safe locations, neighbours, reception desks and carrier delivery details.
If the parcel still cannot be located, contact us promptly. We may request delivery evidence from the carrier and ask you to complete a non-receipt declaration.
What happens if I do not collect my parcel?
A parcel returned because it was refused or not collected is not automatically considered a valid cancellation.
Additional shipping costs may be required to send it again. Personalised products are not normally refundable merely because the parcel was not collected.
Returns and Problems
Can I return a product?
Unused standard products may be returned under the conditions stated in our Refund Policy.
Contact us within 14 days of receiving an eligible standard product and before sending it back.
Can personalised products be returned?
Products made according to the customer’s specifications or clearly personalised for the customer cannot normally be returned simply because the customer changes their mind.
This includes custom names, flags, race numbers, dimensions, colours or designs.
This restriction does not apply when a product is damaged, defective or produced incorrectly.
What should I do if I receive a damaged or incorrect product?
Contact us promptly and provide:
- Your order number
- A description of the problem
- Photographs of the complete product
- Close-up photographs of the issue
- Photographs of the parcel if transport damage is involved
Do not install, cut, trim or dispose of the affected product before receiving our reply.
What should I do if the sticker does not fit?
Do not apply, stretch, trim or modify it immediately.
Confirm that the correct product and helmet option were ordered, then contact us with the order number, exact helmet model and clear photographs showing the sticker against the helmet or visor.
Contact
How long does it take to receive a reply?
We normally reply during French business days.
Response times may be slightly longer during weekends, public holidays or unusually busy periods.
Sending several messages about the same issue may make the conversation harder to follow, so please include all useful information in one message where possible.
